If your baby has worked his crawling way out already, you are to be twice more attentive. Anything may draw your little one’s attention a porcelain vase in the corner of the room, a pile of heavy books, on ironing – board, a tape – recorder, outlets, etc. So, you are to look around your lodging once more in order to prevent all possible “subotage”. Close all the outlets, remove all dangerous things and things, you do not need at this period away, and put vivid toys, on your baby’s way, which will stimulate his moving activity.
Watch your little one investigating the room. Having got into all its edges back and forth, of course he will be eager to see everything behind its door. But as soon as he reaches the threshold, he would stop and think: “if I get out of the room, I will not see my mom”. And mind, that being without you is a big problem for your little creature, so be sure, that having left the room he will come back right away. But soon curiosity will prevail over his scares and your baby’s next exploring the world attempt will last longer and longer every time. And you should not get on his nerves. Never leave the room during any of these “comings out” of your son or daughter. It is not funny at all. You baby will get worried and it will stimulate him to stop the next world’s investigation.
All vivid things, which are easy to be fetched with a little hand draw your little one’s attention. During this period of time fetching becomes more coordinated – a baby does it with the help of his palms and partly with the help of his fingers. These movements remind the work of tongs. Having fetched something, your little baby will investigate this thing with the help of his hands, with the help of his legs, and then – of his mouth. All things are defined to be bad or good ones. It is expressed by the sounds of approval or disapproval.
Language
Your baby goes on making experiments producing or singing syllables and sounds out. His best syllables are “da”, “di”, “ma”, “ta”, “ba”. Sometimes he manages to combine several syllables “da-da”, “ta-ta”, etc. The pronounciation acquires different shades, depending on the baby’s mood, or his relatives’ presence. If these are people, ready to listen to him in the room, your little one would “talk” about something for quite a long period of time, combining all possible variants of syllables.
Teeth
During the seventh month of his life your baby has or will have soon one or two teeth. As a rule two central teeth in mandible are the first to appear.
Sleep
Anyone would fall deadly asleep after such a long and full of different events day. Babies of this age make no exception. Their night sleep becomes calmer, if there are no definite reasons, which violate their sound sleep. They may wake up during the night, but soon they fall asleep again. A baby of this age is to sleep two-three times during a day. Time and length of his sleep depend on your family’s regime, his emotions noise. It should be noticed that babies are able to throw their blankets down or to turn over from one side to another or from their back to the side, or vice versa.
There is no need to get much worried about it. Watch lest your baby should be wearing too warm clothes or be covered too much. Measure the temperature in your little one’s room, and analyze its change during the night. When it is warm in the room (the temperature is over than 71, 6 degrees F,) there is no reason to get worried. But if the temperature is lower than 62, 6 degrees F, you should buy a warm pajama for your child, and it will be better for you, as you will be able to sleep calmly, knowing that your baby is protected from getting cold.
