The Seventh Month

Bathing
A baby should be bathed every day. Do not pour too much water in his bathtub, make it possible for your little son or daughter to sit and play with his or her toys.

The best toys to give your baby while bathing would be a plastic ship, duck, fish, etc. This procedure should become a fun, which will be expected, than he will to do it with pleasure during his life. You should not bathe your baby longer than 10-15 minutes and the water temperature is to be not higher than 98, 6 degrees F, and the air temperature should be not lower then 96, 8 degrees F. Never leave your baby sitting alone in the bath tub, as he is not able to sit well yet and can fall and sink any moment.

Your Baby’s Achievements
Intellectual
Your baby is able to concentrate his attention on details. He imitates sounds; pronounces syllables: “ma”, “mo”, “da”, “di”, “ta”. Several sounds may be united into one “word”. Babies understand that some objects can get broken, if they fall down from a table. He begins to analyze his own actions. He makes associations of a baby in the picture or photo with himself and demonstrates it with the help of definite sounds. Your baby would play with his toys which produce different sounds: rattles, musical boxes, etc. with great pleasure.

Social
Babies possess sense of humour. Your little one would resist if he is proposed something too persistently. He loves to look at his reflection in the mirror. A baby also understands tone and meaning of the word “no”. He prefers being with other members of his family rather than alone.

Sensor-motive
Your baby is able to hold his head; he can also keep its balance. He is able to crawl, moving on his knees and hands. Babies of this age learn to move on their back by raising and replacing the bottom. Two teeth may appear (two lower teeth in mandible). You little one sits will with his back being straight, but he can fall down if he tries to rouse his hands or move them in any other way. Babies are able to distinguish two different objects in their hands and they love to put these objects together. They would shake, suck, and bite everything, what comes into their hands. Your baby would also like to investigate his own body with his mouth and with his hands. He would use his fingers to fetch something.

Physical
Your baby becomes about one pound heavier and about one inch longer during the seventh month of his life.
